At the beginning of this century, Edmond Rozès -the founder’s son- decided to use a “Portuguese shaped” bottle that enabled the identification of both the brand and the Port wine. Rozès White port is made of white grapes and has matured in oak casks. Produced in demarcated region of the Douro.
Tasting notes
Appearance
• Burnished gold colour.
Nose
• Luscious candied fruit and raisin flavours.
Palate
• Round, generous and yet lively, with a clean and smooth finish.
Drinking occasions
• As an aperitif or between meals, slightly chilled, with ice or even as a long drink served with tonic and a slice of lemon. As a starter, with hot or cold “foie gras”. White Ports are often served chilled (5-8°), which gives a lovely aperitif or summer drink.
