At the beginning of this century, Edmond Rozès –the founder’s son- decided
to use a “Portuguese shaped” bottle that enabled the identification of both the
brand and the Port wine. Blend from selected wines coming from different
harvests, Rozès Tawny Port has matured for more than three years in oak casks.
Rozès Tawny is produced in demarcated region of the Douro in Portugal,
the Rozès Wine House owes above all "A" classified vineyards.
Tasting notes
Appearance
• Amber with a brown tinge on the rim
Nose
• Inviting mature nose: plum, fruit cake with bints of wintermint.
Palate
• Lively, clean and fruity, medium bodied, nicely balanced and structured with a satisfying raisin finish.
Drinking occasions
• As an aperitif with salty crackers and cheese puffs. The Rozès Tawny can be
enjoyed chilled or at room temperature. Combines with desserts made of any of
the following: chocolate, cherry, dried fruits as for example “pain pedu” with
cacao and spices.
